On the demonstrate, Milliken, then 25 and living in Cameron Park, Calif ., admitted that he had trouble control his feelings and would seek comfort in food when he was under distress, saying his struggle with his weight likely stemmed from his turbulent relationship with his father.
Milliken alleged that his father, Matthew, often screamed in his face and backed him into corners as a child.
“It was scary. So I would eat. And abruptly I felt a whole lot better, ” Milliken said on the show. “In that moment , nothing else mattered.”
Milliken’s mother, Renee, confessed she too had an eating disorder and admitted she likely contributed to Sean’s battles, saying in a confessional, “I probably overcompensated in a lot of ways.I couldn’t go to the store without bringing him home a treat.”
Milliken’s struggles with his weight worsened in high school, when he was up to 400 pounds and suffered a debilitating leg injury that left him bedridden — and in the eight years following the injury, he barely ever left his bed, even relieving himself in a pail at the end of it, because standing up was so painful.
He suffered from several open sores at that time from his scalp tearing under his weight. His mother and a family friend had to work together to bathe him.
A 2017 “Where Are They Now? ” special of the series showed that Milliken lost an impressive 400 pounds in an effort to someday undergo gastric bypass surgery, but that his weight loss had plateaued. Some suspected Renee of undermining his efforts to slim down.
Earlier today, I wrote about what I thought would be the last crazy influencer scandal of the year. It is December 18, after all. That narrative had everything: handguns, prison term, and petty disputes over web domains. It seemed like the perfect route to close out a year of influencers generally being the most difficult. But, reader, I SPOKE. TOO. SOON. Lo and beheld, we have another story that is almost hard to believe, except for the fact that I literally wouldn’t set anything past influencers anymore.
There are certain things in this world that we should just know not to believe. Things like” I’m not like other guys ,” or” I will definitely pull out” come to mind, but this should also definitely be applied to influencers telling us that they only endorse products they really believe in, or even employ at all. Sorry, Khloe Kardashian, but no one buys that you achieved a total body transformation through a regimen of diarrhea tea and waist trainers. The BBC apparently doesn’t trust influencers’ promises about the products they shill either, so they decided to pull a little sting operation to uncover their shady ways.
On the most recent episode of Blindboy Undestroys the World, which is basically like Punk’d, but with social justice undercurrents, three reality TV personalities were dragged into a situation that they’re definitely regretting right now. Lauren Goodger and Mike Hassini( from The Only Way Is Essex–basically the British version of The Hills ), along with Zara Holland( from Love Island ), were all approached about doing ads for a weight loss beverage that was literally poisonous, and they all said yes. Yeah, it’s a big ol’ yikes.
The drink( which doesn’t actually exist) was called Cyonora, and was alleged to contain hydrogen cyanide, which is literally like, the most famous poison. Despite the ingredient being specifically highlighted, both on the label and in the ad copy , none of our three influencers in question had any qualms about shilling for the drink. When asked about promoting the drink, they were told that the product was still in development, and that they wouldn’t” be able to drink it until it’s launched .” Mike Hassini said that was ” absolutely fine ,” and Zara said that it’s” not a number of problems ,” despite her agent clarifying that she wouldn’t lie to promote the product. Good for the agent, but clearly these people don’t give a sh* t.
Lauren’s agent clearly wasn’t concerned about lying, saying directly that” Half these posts you see that people do, they’re not even trying them half the time anyway .” So would that amount to … a quarter of the time? The interviewer then double checked that it wouldn’t be a problem for Lauren to promote a beverage she hadn’t tried, and she merely shook her head. Lauren is probably the worst offender here. After agreeing to do the Cyonora promotion, she willingly shared that she had never tried Skinny Coffee, another weight loss product she promoted earlier this year. She claimed on social media to have lost weight by drinking Skinny Coffee, and said friends messaged her asking if it truly worked. She seemed amazed anyone would even believe she actually used it, saying she told her friends,” Do you not know this by now ?”
Lauren’s agent do ask for clarification about the ingredients in Cyonora, saying she had received backlash over Skinny Coffee because of the laxatives in the drink. But asking isn’t the same thing as actually caring, it doesn’t really seem like Lauren cared. After being told about the ingredients( aka cyanide ), Lauren–along with Zara and Mike–still videotapeed a practice run of an ad script which contained multiple mentions of the LITERAL CYANIDE in the drink.
In the wake of the present airing, these morons obviously tried to cover their ass, and Lauren and Zara’s reps both spoke to BuzzFeed News about how they were misrepresented on the reveal. Zara, in a classic move, blamed the editors, saying that the” full edit” wasn’t demonstrate, and that she claims to” only promote products that I have tried first and know a lot of detail about them .” But just like any reality indicate, the editors can’t literally put terms in her mouth, and Zara said she would promote the drink without trying it!
Lauren’s rep issued a similar statement, saying that” proper checks would have been induced” if she was actually going to promote the product. As for not raising more concerns when reading the script with the CYANIDE references, Lauren said that” As with any audition you people please and say what they want to hear .” HA. Sorry, but reading a line the route the director asked and not asking why a weight loss drink has poison in it are not the same thing !!
Overall, it’s impossible to know if these people would have actually gone through with knowingly promoting cyanide juice, but their behavior on camera doesn’t exactly instill confidence that influencers are being thorough with vetting the products they make money off of claiming to use. This is disappointing, but it’s zero percent surprising–if we know anything by now, it’s that we should expect nothing from these people. They’re mostly clowns doing their best to avoid having to get real jobs, and if cyanide juice is willing to cut them a hefty check, they’re not going to ask a lot of questions.
If you’re the kind of person who is still buying products based on influencer recommendations, you should probably be a little more careful. Of course, some things aren’t harmful, or could even be beneficial, but the weight loss drinks are just never going to work the way you want them to. Sorry, but you should know this by now!

Jessica Simpson is getting deep into her past with her new memoir, Open Book , revealing she was sexually abused as a young girl and that she had been battling an addiction to” drinking and pills” up until a few years ago.
In an extract from the book be made available in People , the momma of three explained the abuse started when she was just 6 years old and among other things, led to her dependency to self-medicate with alcohol and stimulants.
Having been approached to write a motivational volume about” live your best life ,” Jess knew she had a different story to tell, saying 😛 TAGEND
” I didn’t feel comfortable talking about myself in a way that wasn’t honest. I’m a horrible liar .”
Simpson revealed it was a doctor who told her her life was in danger with the self-medicating 😛 TAGEND
” I was killing myself with all the drinking and pills .”
But it wasn’t until she hit rock bottom at a Halloween Party she and spouse Eric Johnson hosted at their home in 2017 that she opened up to her best friends about needing to get over her craving. She remembered saying 😛 TAGEND
” I need to stop. Something’s got to stop. And if it’s the alcohol that’s doing this, and inducing things worse, then I discontinue .”
Thanks to the support of her parents, Tina and Joe , together with her squad of doctors and bi-weekly therapy, she’s been sober since November 2017.
” Giving up the alcohol was easy. I was mad at that bottle. At how it allowed me to stay complacent and numb .”
Jessica continued 😛 TAGEND
” When I ultimately said I needed assistance, “its like” I was that little girl that found her shout again in life. I saw direction and that was to walk straight ahead with no anxiety. Honesty is hard but it’s the most rewarding thing we have. And getting to the other side of fear is beautiful .”
It had been theorized for years in the tabloids that alcohol was an alleged issue for the songstress. A visit to HSN in 2015 triggered concern in the media after she went on air and was noticeably slurring her terms. A Home Shopping Network source later denied she was intoxicated, saying it was merely her “loose” image.
In 2016, it seemed her behavior only became more erratic as an interview with Extra at a Teen Vogue event could only be described as bizarre. With these new revelations from Simpson, it’s clear she was battling something much deeper. While the 39 -year-old explained in her memoir how giving up the” drinking and pills” wasn’t difficult, therapy, was completely different 😛 TAGEND
” With work, I let myself to feel the traumas I’d been through .”
Stemming back from the abuse she suffered as a little girl, the style mogul revealed 😛 TAGEND
“[ It happened] when I shared a bed with the daughter of a family friend. It would start with tickling my back and then go into things that were extremely uncomfortable .”
For six years she maintained it from her parents 😛 TAGEND
” I wanted to tell my parents. I was the main victims but somehow I felt in the wrong .”
When Jessica did open up to them during a road trip when she was 12, she recalled her mama slapping her dad’s arm, saying 😛 TAGEND
” I told you something was happening.”
But” Dad kept his eye on the road and said nothing .”
” We never remained at my parents’ friends house again but we also didn’t talk about what I said here today .”
Simpson will be releasing six ballads in conjunction with the upcoming memoir, which she hopes will inspire others 😛 TAGEND
” It’s been a long hard deep emotional journey, one that I’ve come through the other side with pure happiness and fulfillment and acceptance of myself. I’ve used my ache and turned it into something that can be beautiful and hopefully inspiring to people .”
Even taking to Instagram on Tuesday, she posted about the new music and the process of recording her audiobook. In the caption, she penned 😛 TAGEND
” Recording the audiobook of Open Book was one of the most purposeful experiences of my career. It broke me down both physically and emotionally, but I hope everyone who listens will feel my spirit and hear my truth through my voice. The new anthems I am releasing with the audiobook are what inspired me to write the memoir and they are the musical counterpart to the story. I am so proud of this creation. I hope you love it. #OpenBook”
Khloe Kardashian and Kendall Jenner defend making money moves!
In an interview with the New York Times published over the weekend, the Kardashian-Jenner family — including Kim , Kourtney Kardashian , Kris , and Kylie Jenner — discuss their various business deals, including their most contentious endorsements.
var RevContentSolo= button_text: “Find Out More”, widget_id: 105180 ;
Last month, after True Thompson ‘ s mom shared a sponsored post for weight loss shakes, The Good Place actress wrote to her 😛 TAGEND
” If you’re irresponsible to: a) own up to the fact that you have a personal trainer, nutritionist, probable cook, and a surgeon to achieve your aesthetic, rather than this laxative product … And b) tell them the side effects of this NON-FDA approved product, that most doctors are saying aren’t healthy. Side consequences such as … cramping, stomach pains, diarrhea and dehydration … Then I guess I have to. It’s incredibly awful that this industry bullied you until you became this fixated on your appearance. That’s the media’s flaw. But now please don’t set that back into the world, and hurt other girls, the style you have been hurt. You’re a smart-alecky girl. Be smarter than this .”
In response, KoKo — who the author noted was ” fresh from a workout” — said she has never hired a chef. While she does have a personal trainer, she posts her exercisings on Snapchat for everyone to view.
While she is aware that not everyone can afford one-on-one fitness sessions, the 34 -year-old explained 😛 TAGEND
“Well, listen, I am presenting you what to do, silly person, 15 repeatings, three times, here’s the move .”
Momager Kris added 😛 TAGEND
“I don’t live in that negative energy space … Ninety percent of people will be really excited about the family and the journey and who we are.”
In the interview, Khloe also revealed that , nowadays, she tries to forge “authentic” partnerships as opposed to her past business deals.
” I think in the beginning of our careers we got really excited like’ OMG, a brand wants me !’ and sometimes it might not be an alignment with things you believe in … You step into this whirlwind and this whole life and for the past five, six years, at least, we’ve been very particular about what we do and very authentic — I know that term is so overused.'”
Needless to say, Jamil was NOT impressed with their response. On Sunday, the thespian taunted their interview by writing on Twitter 😛 TAGEND
If you can’t see the pic, it says 😛 TAGEND
” Essentially,’ f ** k the young, impressionable people, or those struggling with eating disorders, we want the money .’ I have been given these same opportunities to flog this stuff, and I don’t do it, so they don’t have to. Thank you, next.'”
As for Kendall, the model defended her collaboration with Fyre Festival , the disastrous 2017 music extravaganza founded by current-inmate Billy McFarland and rapper Ja Rule .
According to tribunal documents obtained by ET in January, the 23 -year-old’s company was paid $ 275,000 for services including promoting the festival on Insta.
She said 😛 TAGEND
” You get reached out to by people to, whether it be to promote or help or whatever, and you never know how these things are going to turn out, sometimes it’s a risk … I definitely do as much research as I can, but sometimes there isn’t much research you can do because it’s a starting brand and you kind of have to have faith in it and hope it will work out the style people say it will … You never genuinely know what’s going to happen .”
Yeesh. Hopefully the KarJenners will learn from their past mistakes!

The 31 -year-old has really been turning heads ever since she debuted a noticeably slimmer appearance in recent months, with many wondering just how the songstress managed to achieve the dramatic, fresh look.
Well, the Grammy win dedicated one fan the astonish of a lifetime when she casually struck up a dialogue with them about her weight-loss journey while vacationing in Anguilla!
The singer, born Laurie Blue Adkins , was spotted living her best life on the Caribbean island with fellow Brits Harry Styles and James Corden as the group recently rang in 2020 together.
Amid all the fun and shenanigans on their tropical holiday getaway, Adele and the One Direction crooner happened to cross paths with 19 -year-old Lexi Larson from Hingham, Massachusetts.
The young woman dished all about her insane celebrity encounter to People , starting from the moment she and her friends considered them during dinner at Blanchards Restaurant and Beach Shack on January 3 😛 TAGEND
” A few minutes later, Adele came over and sat down next to me and my friend and was like,’ So what can I do for you girls ?’ We were so excited. We were talking to her for a little while, and then she got Harry Styles to come over and sit with us also. We took a picture with Harry, and we talked to them for 15 minutes probably .”
Larson, who is a psychology student at Elon University , says they” talked about life and college and what me and my friend wanted to do .”
” They were more asking us questions. It was a really positive experience. It was really cool .”
Additionally, the college student told the outlet she and her friends nearly didn’t recognize the 21 singer due to her altogether revamped seem. So, how did we go from casual chitchat to the topic at hand?
Apparently, the starlet must’ve been an open book as Larson disclosed 😛 TAGEND
” She said she lost something like 100 pounds, and that it’s such a crazy positive experience. She seemed so happy, and she appeared amazing. She seemed actually confident .”
So, pic or it didn’t happen, right ?? Come on, it’s 2020! You know how this runs!
It turns out Adele declined to take a photo because her seven-year-old son Angelo — whom she shares with ex-husband Simon Konecki — was also there 😛 TAGEND
” She said no because she didn’t want a lot of paparazzi at the moment or anything to get too crazy with her kid .”
Either way, we’re just glad to hear more positive reports about the entertainer’s visibly healthier lifestyle — we love to see it!
A post shared by Adele (@ adele) on Oct 24, 2019 at 12:58 pm PDT
We’re also excited to see what other new developments are in store for her this coming year. Multiple sources recently told People that Adele is prepared to release new music sooner than later. As one source put it 😛 TAGEND
” She is definitely getting ready both mentally and physically to promote new music. It seems it will happen later this year. She talks about last year as a very difficult year, and she’s said in the past that generating new music is almost like therapy. You can tell that she is ready to share with her fans .”
Perezcious readers, what do U think of this fun story and what would U have be done in order to a similar situation? Also, guess on these two UK aborigines spending so much time together lately?

Emma-Lee Moss, who attains music as Emmy the Great, on life, new motherhood and her divided birthplace
It feels as if the entire world’s press is there, standing on the pavement outside the Foreign Correspondents’ Club. They’re in Hong Kong to cover the protests, but tonight, the Friday before National Day, they’re off responsibility. From the bottom of the hill, the bars of Lan Kwai Fong thrum reliably. There is an uneasy peace in the air, as though we all know that, three days from now, the long-running citywide demonstrations will reach a violent new apex.
I’ve walked this route hundreds of periods, and been a parade of different selves. I’ve been a teen trying to score 7-11 brew on the spot where Chungking Express was filmed. I’ve been a visiting novelist ordering beverages at the FCC bar. But now I am the mother and primary carer of a nine-month-old, and my time out has been negotiated. Quite frankly, I am dazzled by the world after 7pm. As I shuffle past the media crowd, I feel a pull, a yearning. In another life, I’d be there with them. When I moved back to Hong Kong in 2018, it was in search of stories about the strange, convoluted city I was born in.
I take the lift up to a wood-panelled room and join a table of thirtysomethings wearing plastic flower garlands. I am expecting to be the main event tonight, at the reunion of my primary school class. For nine years, I was the only mixed-race person at my local Cantonese school, where I was known widely as gweimui ( literally” ghost daughter “). Chinese school is where I developed a persist complex about not fitting in, and where, after being bullied, I fantasised that one day I’d do something so momentous it would appear in a newspaper, and my classmates would see that I was more than simply a girl with an English papa and a Hong Kong mum.
This thought was the founding brick of ambition that drove me to become a musician and novelist, under the name Emmy the Great. Now my wishing has finally come true, but with a caveat. I am at this reunion because someone watched an article about me in an arts magazine, but it wasn’t about any of my albums, or projects, or anything I’ve written. It was about what it’s like to have an English dad and a Hong Kong mum. Some 25 year later, this is still my most noticeable feature.
I look around the table, disoriented by faces I never expected to see again. Surely they will want to know about the amazing life I went on to lead! I prepare the necessary Cantonese vocabulary in my head.” After we left primary and secondary schools, I moved to East Grinstead, Sussex. In England, I wasn’t a white daughter any more. I was considered Chinese. In England, I had to assert over and over that I was British- still do. But I was so grateful for the grass and open space that I accepted this identity. I never expected to be back here in Hong Kong, a gweimui once more. And, suddenly, I’m a mother, too! I never sleep. I never go out. I’m caught between expat and Cantonese culture. I’m losing my intellect, actually. How are you ?”
But despite a morbid preoccupation with the incorrects perpetrated on me by a group of 10 -year-olds, I can’t keep my supposes from the topic of the moment. The city has been tense and uncertain since the first major demonstrations began in June, initially in response to a bill that would allow extraditions from Hong Kong to China, but now expanded to five demands, including universal suffrage and an independent inquiry into police conduct. Parenting has thrown up new challenges, like yell the council to ask for the ingredients of their teargas, and its effect on children. As each new weekend approaches, the population speculates. Will it be peaceful, or will it spill into violence? Will we wake to news that attains us tearful with pride for Hong Kong, or frightened by the scale of the escalation?
Tonight, as China gears up to celebrate its 70 th year as a republic, there is no doubt about which style the news will sway. Someone at the reunion says they are boycotting products from the mainland, including tea. Another, a tiny son who has inexplicably grown into an adult, says he won’t use the MTR metro system any more , now that it’s been accused of enforcing the government’s agenda by shutting down during protests. I spot an opening to admit that, the day the demonstrations began, I was in England, on tour. By the time I got back, teargas had become the stock police response, and my partner and I decided we wouldn’t attend demoes- in case we find ourselves incapacitated and unable to care for our daughter. Instead, I say nothing. I don’t tell them, either, that we are planning to leave Hong Kong for England when our daughter turns one, because I’m self-conscious about having one foot in Hong Kong, and one abroad. This is how it’s always been. It’s how they remember me. And, ever since the protests began, I am wondering if it induces me a part of the problem.
I can only tell you what I recollect. In 1994, Forrest Gump was the English-language film at every cinema for months. Every weekend, my parents would hurl their three children into a Volvo and drive to Pacific Place, a mall in the Admiralty district. We’d gratify our friends, expat families whose infants went to see international schools, at McDonald’s, where the kids would climb the Ronald McDonald in the playzone, until we were allowed to go to the CD store and pick out an album. Everybody wore Nikes and had a favourite WWE wrestler and Street Fighter move.
In 90 s Hong Kong, everyone could speak English, even taxi drivers like my Uncle Ron, who had crazy hair and had once cut a demo tape in a stoner-rock band. But my siblings and I spoke Cantonese, too. On the weekends that we didn’t see our friends, we had dim sum with my mum’s family: Auntie Dora, Uncle Sam and Uncle Ron; my two older cousins, too, one of whom has now been taken a new English name, Michael Jordan Lee.
“Howie’s[ Mandel] doing a fine, serviceable task — why don’t they alter him? And why don’t they change Simon? … ” Stern inquired before stating it’s the “ultimate example of a boys’ club.”
A rep for Cowell did not immediately respond to Fox News’ request for comment.
Mandel is currently the longest-tenured judge on “AGT, ” having joined the program in 2010. Stern served as a magistrate on the talent competitor show for four seasons before exiting in 2015. Before the arrival of Union and Hough, “Spice Girls” singer Mel B and model Heidi Klum were on the judging panel from seasons eight through 13.
News of Union’s departure, initially reported by Variety last week, alleged that Union was subject to various racially-motivated criticisms, including over her many haircut alterations, which were perceived as “too black” for “AGT’s” core demographic. Union reportedly received that critique more than half a dozen times.
Union was also reportedly not a fan of a racially insensitive joke made by Jay Leno on set.
During the filming of an interstitial segment, Leno joked about a painting that featured Simon Cowell surrounded by puppies. Leno joked that the dogs looked like something one could find “on the menu at a Korean restaurant” — much to the chagrin of “the very few Asian staffers” on the depict. The commentary was later edited out of the Aug. 6 episode.
Union allegedly exhorted producers to report the incident to NBC’s human resources department — however her pleas fell on deaf ears.
Though Union’s husband and former NBA superstar Dwyane Wade publicly supported her, Stern said he hoped Union would let Leno “live in peace.”
“Let’s go on record as telling people that one million puppies are still eaten annually in South Korea, and if Gabrielle Union wants to effect positive change, perhaps focus on the horrors of Korean dog farms and let the old irrelevant comic live in peace, ” Stern said. “She wants Jay beaten in the street. I guess perhaps Jay makes a point.”
In the wake of an NBC-issued statement to People magazine about Union’s exit, the “LA’s Finest” star responded to a tweet from a journalist that blamed the statement made by production company Fremantle, NBC and Cowell’s own production limb, Syco Entertainment and listed what a “solid apology” should consist of.
“A solid apology comes in three components. 1. Sincerely admit wrong doing[ sic] immediately to the offended party. 2. Be twice as loud correcting your mistake as you were making the mistake. 3. Lay out steps to correct your behavior in the future. Anything less is covering your own a–, ” the tweet read — to which Union reacted, “This! This! AND THIII’SS !!!!!! ”
Production company Fremantle, NBC and Simon Cowell’s production company, Syco Entertainment, told People last Friday: “’America’s Got Talent’ has a long history of inclusivity and diversity in both our talent and the acts championed by the show.”
“The judging and host line-up has been regularly refreshed over the years and that is one of the reasons for AGT’s enduring popularity, ” the statement continued. “NBC and the producers take any issues on situate seriously.”

There are certain risk factors that may make a patient more at risk for developing bezoars, including having gastric surgery, lessened stomach sizing, diabetes, end-stage kidney disease, and requiring mechanical ventilation assistant to aid in breathing. There are several types of bezoars that are classified based on the materials that form them.
A phytobezoar, like the kind the patient in this case had, is comprised of indigestible food fibers. A trichobezoar is comprised of hair or hair-like fibers, and pharmacobezoars are composed of drugs that don’t properly dissolve in the digestive tract.
Bezoars can cause a lack of appetite, nausea, vomiting, weight loss and feeling of fullness, are in accordance with MayoClinic . In more severe cases they can cause gastric ulcers, intestinal bleeding and blockage, and even tissue death in the digestive system.
While they sometimes may pass on their own, other patients may require medication to help dissolve the mass or even surgery. In this case of this patient, who was identified as Ms. Zhang, her doctor first ordered an endoscopy to ascertain what exactly the bezoar was.
Once her doctor, Zhu Zhen, determined that it was a bezoar, which had formed as a result of her diet consisting of persimmon fruits and crab meat, he prescribed ultrasound shock wave therapy to help break the mass apart, AsiaWire reported.
