Extreme Weight Loss Alum Rod Durham Dead At 52
Tragic news.
Extreme Weight Loss starring Rod Durham has died at persons under the age of 52.
The drama teacher was reportedly found dead over the weekend by housekeepers at a motel in Fort Lauderdale from what seems to be diabetic shock. He was on vacation celebrating Leon High School ‘s spring break.
You may remember Durham from the fourth season of the ABC series where he lost more than 180 pounds.

Heidi Powell — who developed Durham on the present — paid tribute to the former reality star on Monday saying:
Heaven just got a lot brighter today when Rod entered the pearly gates. While I am selfishly so sad and totally devastated that I won’t get to see him on globe anymore, I am exulting for the spirit he is carrying with him and spreading to everyone up there…including my papa. Rod, you will be missed terribly. Everything from your kindness, to your warm smile and bear hugs, to your friendship, to you extraordinary ability to build ANYONE( including me) feel special. YOU are special. And will never be forgotten. Love you BIG, and can’t wait to be welcomed into heaven someday with that one-of-a-kind infectious giggle of yours. An administrator from Durham’s high school added that students are “broken-hearted” over his passing 😛 TAGEND
“He always attained everyone smile – even if you were having the worst day. If you watched Rod, your day got better. His chuckle was simply infectious. … Everyone loved Rod Durham. There are tens of thousands of kids today who are broken-hearted.”
Just over a month ago, Rod took to his Instagram with the following message 😛 TAGEND
“I’m 52 today( February 6th) … Behold Bitches( sorry! I’m happy to still be alive !) “
So sad.
