So when he stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live to promote his Apple TV immigrant tale anthology prove Little America , the late night host got him a special treat.
Jimmy began by asking him all about the viral response to the pics of his incredibly shredded naked torso.
Kumail shared the strangest moment from what was a surreal experience all around: the style their own families reacted!
” It exploded, I freaked out, I called my brother, I said,’ Are they upset, what’s going on ?’ And my brother said,’ Dad has already sent your naked pics to both family WhatsApp groups.'”
Ha! So cute that his family maintains in touch that route. But of course, that meant he was all his fam could talk about — even on the other side of the world countries!
” Then it got in newspapers in Pakistan, so I had all my aunts texting me pictures of myself, like’ So proud of you, so proud of you, son .’ It’s weird to have your aunts sending you naked pictures of yourself with like anything but disgrace .”
Kumail then talked about what the experience of sculpting his body was actually like, saying 😛 TAGEND
” You work out every day and you sort of learn to enjoy it. But the diet is the hardest thing. I have not had pizza or a doughnut in over a year. I’ve had no refined sugar in a year, I’ve had almost no carbs at all. You know what my snack has been? I tell people,’ actually it’s not bad.’ You know what my snack is? I get a bag of sugar snap peas, and I eat them. That’s what I’ve been doing at night when I’m like’ I’m a little hungry, I’m going to treat myself.'”
Jimmy asked if he’d broken the diet yet, and Kumail responded 😛 TAGEND
” I haven’t done it yet, but I will. I cannot wait to do it .”
That’s when Jimmy dropped a mobile full of dessert platters — and Guillermo brought him a pizza! The Silicon Valley superstar got emotional, saying 😛 TAGEND
” I’m literally gonna cry right now. I’m not joking .”
We think Kumail even astonished Jimmy by actually excavating in, trying the pizza and multiple cakes and tarts — and altogether losing those who are interested in the interview part. It legit looked like he was going to cry from happiness!

” My wife was in a coma, and we didn’t know what was gonna happen. I remember very specifically the day — we were like,’ is she gonna make it, is she gonna make it ?’ I recollect when I got to the hospital one of those days and she was up and sitting on her bed … I’m happier right now .”
