Mom Heroically Saves Her Baby As They're Flung Through The Air By A Tornado
Most of us wonder how we would react in an emergency situation. We imagine ourselves in every conceivable scenario, trying to figure out if we would just squeezing our eyes shut until it was over, or if we’d somehow overcome our fears and be a hero.
Now one New Orleans mother knows exactly how she would react, after she saved her newborn in a surreal situation she probably never could have even imagined.
Amanda Stockfelt brought her two-month-old baby, Autumn, with her to work one day following a pediatric check-up.

Her office was a metal trailer in an confiscate yard, so she and her coworker, Leann, was beginning to get nervous as the winds picked up outside.
They huddled under a desk, where Stockfelt procured Autumn into her auto seat, and then hung on for dear life.
And not a moment too soon.
” That’s when we started hearing the trailer rend apart ,” she said.” Then the trailer explosion. Leann went flying one way and me and[ Amber] ran up .”
“The only thing I could think of was, ‘I can’t let go, ‘” she tearfully told NBC News in a video recounting the experience of being sucked into the vortex. “I can’t let go because if I let go, I’m never going to find her.”
They were pulled up into the tornado, but no matter how violently the winds tried to wrench that automobile seat and newborn Autumn from Stockfelt’s grip, she did not let go.
After having been pulled up into the sky and flung around with the mud and debris for what must’ve felt like eternity, they landed ten feet away from where they started.
Most likely in shock temporarily according to doctors, Autumn never even exclaimed. Beyond some scratchings and bruises, both are totally fine.
While many credit Stockfelt’s bravery and sharp maternal instincts with Autumn’s safe return back to Earth, she had different feelings.

” Graco builds the best auto seats in the world, because if it wasn’t for this automobile seat, she’d be dead ,” Stockfelt explained.
She decided to put Autumn in the car seat when she heard the tornado coming because” I knew that if something was going to happen, I wouldn’t be able to fully protect her ,” Stockfelt told CNN.
So glad this amazing momma and her sweet little baby are no worse for wear after their harrowing experience!
It’s just inconceivable. I couldn’t imagine, I entail, I’m thinking my job’s gone, the only vehicle we had is go, but she was OK, I was OK, and everything else can be replaced, Stockfelt told local news.
