The Many Health Benefits Of Drinking Warm Water
These days there are thousands of tips online promising to improve your health, beauty, and fitness. People try specialized diets, go through grueling workout regimens, shell out tons of money on expensive trainers and fitness tracking devices, and do all kinds of other things in the name of health. It’s kind of funny, though, that most people tend to overlook one of the easiest ways to be healthy there is: proper hydration.
Water isn’t known as one of the building blocks of life for no reason. Our bodies are largely water, and while we can survive up to 2 week without any food, without water we would die in just three days. Dehydration can lead to a wide variety of health problems such as lack of focus, wearines, soreness, bad breath, and more. Yet, drinking more water seems to regularly pop up as a goal or reminder for so many of my health-conscious friends. Personally, I’m far from the pinnacle of health, but I’ve got the water thing down. I opt for water 8 hours out of 10 and have my trusty water bottle at arm’s length almost anywhere I go.
So far, though, I’ve merely been taking advantage of the benefits of cool water. It turns out that drinking water that is hot or warm actually has a few added benefits that I never even knew about. As refreshing as it is when it’s cold, we’ve all been drinking water at the wrong temperature!
Water that has been boiled is purer than cold water, because boiling kills off any bacteria and germs that may have been present.
Drinking warm water can also help raise your body temperature, causing you to sweat more. This might sound gross, but sweating helps release toxins from the body and opens up the pores, so embrace the sweat!
